Date: Saturday, August 16, 7:00pm
Venue: The Barn at Castle Hill, Ipswich
Fractured Shadows will be the second MSCM concert at the Barn, featuring violinists Roseminna Watson and Emma Richman, violist, Abigail Rojansky, and cellist Verena Sennekemp performing quartets by composers spanning from early Beethoven through Pulitzer Prize winner, Caroline Shaw. The heart of this program is the slow movement from Franz Schubert’s “Rosamunde” Quartet. The title of the program is taken from Caroline’s description of the movement, “Beech Tree” which will be nestled in between a movement from Smetana’s “From My Life” Quartet and the jubilant finale of Mendelssohn’s Quartet Op. 44, No. 2.
