Side-by-Side Chamber Orchestra
Ever tried playing tennis with a friend but half your balls land in the net? Why can’t your friend just hit you a perfect ball, like your tennis teacher can? Playing tennis or music with a professional lifts your own level like nothing else. Don’t miss the chance to play to your very best side-by-side with the world-class musicians of Manchester Summer Chamber Music.
Selections of chamber orchestra works will be sent out to all participants weeks in advance so that you can prepare to your best ability. During the session, MSCM musicians will join students in each section for an inspiring and uplifting music making experience.
There’s nothing that will give you more ease as a performer than performance experience. And as musicians, we’re all striving for ease performing! Take the opportunity to practice your performance skills and receive coaching from our world-class MSCM musicians by participating in a Masterclass this summer. All students will receive thirty minutes of one-on-one coaching with a MSCM musician. Each coaching session will address your own particular needs–technical, musical, performance oriented, or all of the above.
The Masterclasses are special opportunities open only to a select few performing students and open to the public to observe. If you would like to perform in a Masterclass, please send a short, recent, video or recording of your playing along with your private teacher’s name and contact information.
